Hartford Habitat Dedicates Five Houses in Hartford

On Saturday, June 27th, Hartford Habitat will dedicate 5 houses on 41 Enfield Street in Hartford. Mayor Eddie Perez and major sponsors will join the future homeowners at the 11 o’clock celebration. Homeowners will be presented their keys at this time. The sponsors include Carrier, Ensworth Charitable Foundation, Fisher Foundation, Hartford Foundation of Public Giving, Lincoln Financial, Peoples Community Foundation, Phoenix Foundation, Prudential Retirement, and Trinity College Campus Chapter.
What started off as a layer of foundation, numerous amounts of sweat equity hours of the homeowners, and an eight day Build-A-Thon back in September has transformed into five completed Habitat homes. There are now a total of nine Habitat families living on Enfield Street.

The five new homeowners are Donna Reynolds, Georgina Lawrence, Kevin Montague, Lynette Roldan, and Tomorra Williams. Since the application process, these future homeowners have long awaited the day they could move in. “We are blessed to know that we will soon have a home that we can truly call our own.”-Montague. The homeowners would also like to thank all the sponsors and volunteers for their time and support. “They deserve nothing but praises because it takes special people to do what they do, and for that I will be forever grateful.”- Lawrence

Dedication takes place on 6.27.2009 @ 11am on 41 Enfield Street, Hartford
