Halloween Events Planned at The Children’s Museum

We received the following press release from The Children’s Museum:

WEST HARTFORD, Conn., October 21, 2009 – Join The Children’s Museum for some ghoulish family fun on Halloween day, October 31st. Play games and win spooky prizes, meet creepy crawly animals, learn how to draw your favorite Halloween characters, make slime and get involved in other fun activities.

Children who come dressed in costume receive $2 off each family member’s admission. Regular admission applies for the day, otherwise, but there’s no extra charge for our Halloween activities. Come join the scary fun — from 9:00 a.m to 4:00 p.m. – and enjoy all of our exciting, hands-on educational exhibits and activities, including the UTC Wildlife Sanctuary and the Travelers Science Dome at the Gengras Planetarium.

The Children’s Museum offers over 100 live animals, hands-on science exhibits, out-of-this-world digital planetarium shows, and programs for younger children and families. With over 210,000 visitors annually, it is one of Connecticut’s top museum attractions. The Children’s Museum is located at 950 Trout Brook Drive in West Hartford and at Roaring Brook Nature Center in Canton.
