Auditions for Paolillo’s “The Lost Boy” at Playhouse on Park

WEST HARTFORD, CT – Auditions will be held, by appointment only, on Saturday, March 13th from 10am through 2:00pm. The director is seeking an actor for the non-equity role of Davie Barrie/Peter Pan (Margaret’s other son of thirteen who also plays PETER PAN). This versatile role can be played by a 16 – 25 year old. Must be energetic, adventurous, athletic but slim and no taller than 5’9″. Must convey a sense of innocence, inquisitiveness and inner strength. As Davey, the actor must be able to do an authentic Scottish Accent. As Peter Pan accent is American English. The Lost Boy exposes the bittersweet tragedy of James M. Barrie that evolves into a priceless literary gift to the world. Paolillo’s well-crafted story explores the psyche of James M. Barrie as he creates the little boy who would not grow up; interweaving two divergent tales as Peter Pan’s story mirrors the creator’s own. Performances are scheduled July 28th – August 8th.

Award winning actor Ron Paolillo is best known for his role as Arnold Horshack from television’s “Welcome Back Kotter”. Ron, now a successful playwright, is a Connecticut native. He will star as the character of James Barrie.

Playhouse on Park Seeks High Energy Adult Performers for Upcoming Show

Playhouse Theatre Group, Inc. and stop/time dance theatre are seeking high-energy adult performers: men and women, ages 17 through 60, for the world premier of Mama Tomcat the Musical, directed by Darlene Zoller and Sean Harris. Actors, movers and singers are encouraged to audition. Open auditions are scheduled for Tuesday, September1st and Wednesday, September 2nd from 7pm – 9pm at Playhouse on Park 244 Park Road, West Hartford, CT. Please bring an updated headshot and resume. Audition sides will be provided upon arrival. Singers should bring sheet music for and be prepared to sing 32 bars of a song that best represents your voice. Movers should come dressed to move, bring jazz and tap shoes. Mama Tomcat the Musical will be performed at Playhouse on Park from October 24th through November 1st.

This brand-new children’s musical is part of Playhouse on Park’s Performing Arts Series for Young Audiences. Mama Tomcat – the Musical was written by West Hartford playwright and novelist Spring Hermann and celebrated composer and lyricist Stephen Murray is based on material from Luis Sepulveda’s novel The Story of a Seagull and the Cat Who Taught Her How to Fly.
