West Hartford Loses Democracy Cup Crown

West Hartford has for years led towns of its size in municipal election voter participation. 2009, however, saw the cup going elsewhere. The loss is partly due to being re-categorized into a grouping of larger communities.

Only 34% of registered voters came out to vote in the 2009 municipal elections.
